Diaphragm irritation: I am assuming that you are referring to hiccups. If you are having no pain in the throat and no abdominal pain then it could be irritation of the diaphragm. Sometimes an infection of the lungs or the pancreas or the intestines can affect the diaphragm and cause irritation of the nerve which can cause hiccups.
