Variable: This depends on why they fainted -- sometimes no food or drink should be given at all because you don't want them to choke! people can appear to faint from medication side effects, blood pressure problems (usually low bp), dehydration, anemia, seizures, pregnancy, etc. The person needs to be seen by his/her doctor for evaluation, especially if fainting is happening often.
