Edema: If this is primarily on the legs, it may be due to low level swelling or edema. Fluid can sometimes be retained in the legs from standing or sitting for long periods. Pressing in these areas causes a temporary depression called pitting which pops back up fairly quickly. See a dermatologist or your primary care physician to evaluate this issue.
