A member asked:

When i swallow there is a pain in my throat moves from side to side. not a cold pain just a dull pain. no trouble swallowing, drinking etc. what is it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Laryngeal crepitance: Sometimes we can feel the voice box move when we swallow. It is the same sound that is produced when we rock the voice box from side to side over the spine. There may even be a slight sound when this is done. This is normal. It should not be painful though. I would have a doctor trained to look at that area check it if it is painful. An ENT doc can check it. Good luck.
