A member asked:

What medication can calm me down because i find myself talking a lot.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antidepressants: Ssris, like prozac, celexa, lexapro, paxil, (paroxetine) and zoloft can all treat anxiety as well as depression and can be effective. Talking a lot may also be pressured speech and an early symptom of mania and bipolar disorder, and a mood stabilizer like lithium or Depakote may be effective as well. Talk to your psychiatrist to explore your options.
