Slow : The most important factor in stopping a medication like that is to be motivated and it seems like you are. It is possible to slowly reduce the medication over a period of time without acute withdrawal. Discuss this with your doctor so a plan can be developed to reduce the medication slowly.

Opiate withdrawal: Congratulations! you will not only feel more energetic but also will have a healthier life style. It depends on how many tabs you take a day. Just one tab a day will not cause any withdrawal. If you are taking 4-6 tabs, try to reduce one tab a day till you are down to 1 and then it can be stopped. Slow tapering is the key. Your body may crave it but you have to be strong. Good luck! :-).
