If it makes you feel: Better teatree oil. But, I am not a big believer in topical meds being effective. I think your much better off taking Lamisil (terbinafine) when you finish breast feeding. This has the highest success rate.

Nail Fungus: Most fungal medicine (like lamisil) will get into breast milk and are not recomme nded when breast feeding simply because they are not considered safe in infants. So i would suggest considering a topical medicine like Penlac (ciclopirox) or formulae3 to halt the fungus until you finish breast feeding at which time you take the oral pills. Keep in mind nail fungus is very hard to cure.

Topical or laser: Try topical meds or laser treatment. Although topical meds have very little to no effectiveness, they are cheap and easy with little risk. Lasers are very expensive and several studies have shown effective treatment and sometimes cure rates, however they are very expensive and not covered by any insurance plan.

A few things...: Topical solutions like formula 3 or penlac, laser treatments, homeopathic remedies like tea tree oil, etc. The most used treatment is oral Lamisil (terbinafine) tablets once daily for 90 days. See a podiatrist for what may be best for your specific needs and expectations.
