What do you recommend for eye redness?

Depends: If due to hemorrhage under the conjunctiva (over the whites of the eyes), then nothing matters and it will clear nicely. If infectious, you might need medication depending upon the cause. If due to overwork, dryness or a terrific night out, then non-medicated lubricating drops might be all you need.

Eye redness rx: Until you can get examined, you can use over the counter lubricating or tear replacement drops for comfort. Do not use drops that say "get the red out" as these are drying. If your vision is affected or if you have pain, you should make your appointment with an ophthalmologist without delay.
