More depression: How much drinking are we talking about. If you consume alcohol regularly, particularly in amounts over 2 standard drinks/day, it may contribute to your depression. It also can cause the fluoxetine to be metabolized more quickly. If your prescriber doesn't know about your drinking, he or she needs to know!
