The American: College obgyn says you can have an elective c-section once you have been counselled about the pros and cons of elective csection vs labor, I do elective csections on my pts if they desire that once I have gone over everything with them and if your doc won't do that you have the option to transfer and if u do elective csection u usually schedule it for 39 weeks 1 week before u are due.
