As long as you......: ....Breast feed, your baby will continue to get the perfect mix of fats, carbohydrates and proteins (at least while you're breast feeding), and will continue to get antibodies which augment his natural immune system.

Keep it up.: Breastfeeding beyond six months always gives antibodies - and that really special closeness that simply goes with the territory! keep it up as long as it isn't exhausting or frustrating you to the point where it isn't worth it. Be sure you get plenty of fluids and adequate calories to make milk. A lactation consultant might be very helpful also.
