A member asked:

Do colon cancers usually continue to bleed? can they bleed then nothing for 2.5 years? no symptoms, negative sigmoidoscopy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It does not fit the : Colon cancers can bleed but they do not regress and go away...They continue to grow and obstruct the large intestine and also spread to the liver within one or two years, if left untreated. Colonoscopy is a better way to locate them as sigmoidoscopy only reaches the lower part of the colon.
