Damages skin: Tanning is actually a result of sun damage of the dna in the skin. Over time the damage can accumulate to the point where skin cancer and wrinkles develop earlier than they otherwise would. Avoiding tanning would actually result in having healthier looking and younger looking skin for many more years. Artificial spray tans may be a better way to get the desired look without damaging your skin.
