Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . Anovulation: You may not have ovulated yet. If you had normal regular interval periods before birth control pills, see your doctor. If you don't bleed next month your doctor can see if you'll bleed with 5 to 10 days of Progesterone pills. He or she can go into more details. Best wishes.
