Hpv vaccine: Hpv vaccine was initiated about seven or eight years ago. You probably did not receive it as a child as it was not obligatory. Check with your former pediatrician to see if you received the shots.

First licensed 2006: The hpv vaccines were in development for at least 2 decades before initial licensing in 2006. The initial target was young women 12-26 and males were a secondary target.Insurers were not on board with male coverage before ~2010-2011. I would assume that you did not get the vaccine because of your listed age.
