Hpv vaccine: Hpv vaccine is a killed vaccine , so you have no fear of getting infected from the vaccine. The vaccine is protective for a lifetime as long as three shots were given.

Not a living vaccine: The hpv vaccines contain material synthesized in a lab that recreates the material in the virus cell wall, it is not and never was alive. This material tricks the immune system into making antibodies against the cell wall as if it were the virus. Protection after a full series is thought to be for life. Its a bit to early to know for sure (only on market since 2006).
