Nail crack: If the injured nail is not causing pain then you do not have to do anything. Just let it natural grow out and trim it normally when needed.

Either : Would be fine. If the crack is low then you may not want it removed as that part of the toe will be sore.

Bandage it: If the nail is still attached don't remove it the body will push it off in time. If the nail becomes loose see your foot doc to have it removed.

Tape until it grows : Place tape on the cracked nail until it grows out. If it remains painful see your podiatrist for evaluation and care.
