Wasp sting: Apply cold compresses to the bite. You can also apply meat tenderizer to the sting. The enzymes in the tenderizer will help alleviate the sting.

Large local reaction: Sounds like a large local reaction. It should start geting better in a a few days but may take a week or more to resolve. He should avoid getting stung again. Keep an eye on this to mak sure we dont have a superimposed infection.
