Pelvic lesion found on lumbar mri. looks like iliac bone-circular, about sz of silver $. specialist on tues. i'm 47 yr old f. chance its cancerous? ty

Unlikely but it depe: Every bone shadow is not a cancer. Only by reviewing x-rays/scans and you symptoms can one arrive at a likely diagnosis. Since I do not have the benefit of having more info i can not be sure. But remain calm and optimistic till you have seen your specialist next tuesday. If suspicious, he/she may recommend a biopsy...But it can also be a benign bone island which does not require further action.
