Color of blood: Blood color is based on the hemoglobin in it. When hemoglobin is carrying oxygen, the molecule changes shape and this causes a change in the appearance/color. When the hemoglobin has little oxygen, the structure is different and so the color appears different. Based on the status of the hemoglobin, the lights in the room and the status of your eyes, the color looks orange. This is normal.
