How is clomid (clomiphene) generally administered?

Orally: Clomid (clomiphene) comes in 50 mg tablets. Dosage is usually one tablet by mouth for five days. Usually it starts on day three through day seven. Ovulation normally occurs approximately seven days after the last pill. Dosage can be increased to 100 mg and even 150 mg per day for the five days. Occasionally, it can be given for a total of seven days. Often at the higher dosages and longer days of usage the ovulation is still suboptimal.
