Fertility medicine: Clomid (clomiphene) is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-estrogen. When taken orally it binds to receptors in the brain which ultimately increases the fsh level. This in turn causes eggs to develop and hopefully initiate ovulation mid-cycle.
