Variable: Using Plan B is no more harmful than using birth control pills. However, birth control pills contain strong hormones to suppress ovulation and pregnancy so they do alter body chemistry. Blood pressure and monitoring for blood clots are among the things to watch for when using these hormonal contraceptives.
