Infection?: Sounds like it could be a boil or skin infection. Hemorrhoids are located at the anal opening. See a doctor for an evaluation.

Bumpmon butt: More than likely it is an infection rather than ahemorrhoid. Check with your doctor.

Simply NO: A hemorrhoid is an anal process, so a bump on the buttock is some form of carbuncle. In this day and age, MRSA infections arise as random areas of pustules. And, it is possible it may have been caused by a splinter - i don't know. You should get this seen, either in a prompt care of doctor's office, and soon if you are diabetic. Good luck.
