Yes!: It is important to eat a healthy diet, as well as be active. Obesity, especially fat around the abdomen, is a particular risk factor for diabetes. Eating a diet that is high in fruits and vegetables, low in red meats and saturated fats, and with good (whole grain) starches is a great start. Speak to your primary care provider to speak about your concerns.
