Take it easy: After a simple surgery or prolonged bed rest, d-dimer will be elevated.

Yes: But not petrified! the d dimer likely relates to the surgery and trauma and hematoma. Most resolve with rest, heating pad, and a week or so. See your surgeon if persistent, enlarging, more pain etc.
