Vitiligo: Some treatments for vitiligo include topical corticosteroids at the borders of active lesions; light therapy including uvb, psoralin plus uva; extract laser; melanocyte transplantation thru suction blisters and grafting; punch graft transplantation. Each treatment has pros, cons, and associated costs so be sure to discuss your options with your dermatologist.

Some hope: You may benefit from combo of Protopic ointment in am, and mid-potency topical steroid in pm for trial of one month, to spots, but not the groin. Both are prescriptions. Generally, the longer the vitiligo duration, the harder it is to get the color back. There are special grafting procedures available in some academic dermatology centers, for resistant vitiligo.
