See food diet: With a leukemia there are not specific food recommendations, but adequate calories and good quality protein are important. If the leukemia or the treatment produces severely low WBC specific diet restrictions may be instituted.

There is no specific: Dietary restrictions for a leukemic patient with a couple of specific exceptions that can arise. During therapy, you may become neutropenic, and if so you will be asked to consume a neutropenic diet. Your dr will have info about this. Also, there will likely be times when you take the chemotherapy agent methotrexate. At these times, you should avoid folate (folic acid) supplements, which antagonize that drug.
