Depends on:: The majority of kidney stones are not able to be chemically dissolved in your body. Some can, but most can not. Therefore depending on the size and location of your stones, they may or may not be passable. Sometimes surgical options are best for stones. You are invited to thoroughly discuss your options with your urologist.

Hydration: The best "home" remedy for kidney stone prevention is increasing fluid (primarily water) intake. Lemonade is also good for most people with stone disease. Restricting salt and protein may also help. For acute stone attacks, you should seek medical attention and possible evaluation by a urologist.
A 38-year-old member asked:

How can I get rid of the kidney stones in painless and a faster way?

Probably can't: Stones usually either pass (not usually painless) or need treatment. This can be a cystoscope with removal through the scope, lithotripsy, or percutaneous removal. All are uncomfortable in some way.

Depends: Some stones may be helped by alkalinizing the urine, some by acidifying. Some may only be helped by removal. Most stones benefit from good hydration. Some are helped by dietary modification. Ask your urologist.
