Are there any good at home treatments for sciatica?

Sciatica: Understand that 80% improve their sciatic symptoms nonsurgically. Treatment options include: tylenol/nsaid's, heat/ice, salonpas hot patches. Core exercises like pilates/piyo/yoga are excellent. Mckenzie pt can be tried by purchasing the treat your own back book online $10ish. Otherwise, your doc can give a prescription for formal pt instruction (big help for most).

Core Exercises: Typically core strengthening exercises are the best to help relieve pressure and forces in the spine. I would try and google some or look them up on youtube to see descriptions. If you can do them yourself, wonderful otherwise ask your doctor to get a referral to a good physical therapist for further assistance.
