Can you please define endometriosis and what are the symptoms ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Short answer: It is the growth of cells that line the inside of the uterus, outside of the uterus. The growth of endometrial cells outside of the uterus can cause pelvic pain, menstrual pain, pain with intercourse, and other symptoms depending on where the tissue is growing. It can cause pain wth bowel movements, also scarring and infertility, rarely, it can develop outside of abdominal cavity.
