BV is similar: Yeast and bacterial vaginosis are the 2 common vaginal infections in women. Yeast usually has itching, thick cottage cheese like discharge. Bv has more irritation, fishy odor. However i've seen many women who think they have one infection and actually have the other infection. So if you take something to treat it but it doesn't get better get checked. You might be treating the wrong infection.
