A member asked:

Please describe the discolored 4th week of pills in the birth control pack?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Placebo Pills: The last week of pills are placebo pills. These don't have medication in them. They are there to keep you in the habit of taking a pill every day. Usually you will get your cycle on those days but it isn't unusual for it to be a day before or a few days after. They are colored differently to remind you that they are the placebos.
