Thyroid symptoms: There are two types of thyroid symptoms--those with an overactive gland and those with an underactive gland. Symptoms for overactive gland: high pulse rate, sweating palms, feel hot easily, jerky reflexes (knees), weight loss, diarrhea. For underactive gland: feel cold easily, weight gain, palms are cool, reflexes (ankles) are sluggish, may be constipated.
