A member asked:

Help please! is consumption of oil directly related to increase in blood cholesterol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Depends on the kind of oil. Animal oils are the worst. Vegetable oils (like crisco) are less bad. Polyunsaturated oils are better. Monounsaturated oils such as olive oil and canola oil are the best. But too much of a good thing is still bad! (a little water saves lives; too much results in drowning!).
