Ideal mgmt involves a properly trained and experienced pain physician, proper use of other modalities such as therapy, meds etc. Avoidance of any narcotics for non-cancer pain, patient participation at the fullest! most patients rely on a "fix-me" attitude and looking for an easy answer (a holy grail). There is no easy answer or a one size fits all treatment.
