I want to know what is the difference between cancer cells and having cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cancer & Cells: Cancer cells are single or clusters of abnormal cells with big dark nuclei found in fluids like blood, bile, cavity fluids, urine, sputum or scrapings in a cytology glass slide. Cancer itself has to be a nodule or a mass arising from a tisuue which has the same large dark nuclei compared to the adjacent normal cells. The cancer can be in-situ(no signs of invasion) or invasive.
