1/500 to 1/1000: Lynch syndrome is an inherited disorder that causes an increased risk for colorectal cancer, stomach, small intestine, liver, gallbladder ducts, upper urinary tract, brain, & skin. Women have high risk for ovarian & uterine cancer. In the usa there are 140, 000 new cases of colorectal cancer yearly; approximately 5 % of these cancers are caused by lynch syndrome.Cancer also happens at a younger age.
