Weeks to months: Because the TB bug (mycobacterium tuberculosis) is a very slow growing bug, it will take weeks to months before it will multiply in enough numbers inside your lungs to cause any symptoms or signs. If concerned about exposure to tb, talk to an infectious disease specialist who can do testing (ppd, chest xray) to assess if there is indeed an acquisition of infection (latent or active) & need for med.
