Some Meds, Iodine: Please follow the rules provided by the nuclear medicine/radiology department or imaging center exactly! it is very important. Ask them any ?'s you have. External sources of iodine in the diet can affect the test - for example, seaweed with sushi. Thyroid hormone and antithyroid medications can also affect the results. You want an accurate test, not one confused by these outside influences.
