How to determine when you have asthma?

Symptoms: The most common symptoms are recurrent cough, wheezing, chest tightness and/or shortness of breath. The symptoms are usually worse with exercise, at night and with colds. If a person has these symptoms, then a lung function test should be done to assess for asthma. A person doesn't have to have an "attack" to have asthma.
