Bed for back pain: A firm mattress is desirable, but more importantly it is the position in which you sleep. Pillow position is also important. Using more than one pillow with you neck flexed all the time can lead to cervical disc degeneration.. Watching tv while in bed, reading with the neck flexed are some more causes for neck pain. Sleeping on the tummy can increase facet joint related pain.
