Yes and no: There can be many potential indoor allergens that are responsible for triggering allergic reactions. These include house dust mite, feathers (pillow, comforter, duvet), pet dander and indoor molds. In a new house, the fumes given off by new carpet, new paint, glues, etc can cause irritation but are not true allergies.
