Is it uncommon to have hypospadias and cryptorchidism together?

Common: Both disorders are quite common. When they occur together, there may be an association with a disorder of sexual differentiation. Seek the opinion of a pediatric urologist.

Not uncommon: Incidence of undescended testis is significantly higher in males with hypospadias. Cryptorchidism literally means hidden penis & thus is an undescended testis which can not be palpated & thus is only one type of undescended testis. Term is often & incorrectly used to describe all undescended testes.
