Anti-inflammation: When our bodies are injured, the response is inflammation (red, hot, pain, swelling). This is the body increasing the blood flow to the injury to bring healing factors. Anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen/aspirin, Naproxen sodium, etc. All have the chemical effect to reduce this natural inflammation. For healing wounds, this is a bad effect as it slows healing. For arthritis/strains/, it is good.
