Blockage of intestin: Bowel, small or large (colon) can be blocked by a number of problems, including tumors, other masses, stool, foreign bodies, kinking of the bowel loops by internal scars (adhesions), other. Can be very acute-with pain, vomiting, distension, maybe diarrhea (if partial obstruction), not passing gas or stool (if more complete). If developed over time can adapt somewhat, with less symptoms.
