A member asked:

Why would vicodin be contraindicated for those with severe scoliosis?

Narcotics: Vicodin is a narcotic pain medicine. It is used to treat pain only. If the pain is severe enough, then it would be appropriate to use something like vicodin. If there is significant, chronic pain, then pain management specialists are often used to help control the pain.

It wouldn't : The use of Vicodin certainly has its pluses and minuses, but the presence of scoliosis itself is not an independent contraindication to its use.
