Electrochemical: Concussion is caused by a traumatic event that causes rapid acceleration forces in the brain. This is thought to cause disruption of the electrochemical gradients in neurons in the brain. It takes time for the cells to recover to normal function which is why concussion recovery can take so long. If you have a concussion the first treatment is physical and cognitive rest to allow healing.

Distortion: The brain undergoes a distortion of the brain and brain stem. The brainstem is fixed in place but the brain can be distorted, putting a stretch on nerve fibers traveling through the brain stem. A kink can develop in the brain stem at the level of the area driving migraine headaches, nausea and vomiting. Fibers in the Reticular Activating Sysem are stretched, causing disturbance of alertness.

MRI with no contrast came back "abnormal" for brain scan, for possible concussion. I did move my head a bit during MRI scan. No symptoms, feel fine. Doc recommends MRI with contrast. Could the head movement be a possible cause for abnormal reading?
