A member asked:

What happens when donating bone marrow and how do i register to be a donor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is a great idea: There is need for bone marrow(stem cell) donors for the benefit of those who have blood cancers for which bone marrow transpalnt/stem cell transplant is life saving. You can contact your local blood bank to guide you or look up national marrow donor program(nmdp), also called: be the match program . They will guide you how to become a donor which is a very simple procedure.
