Not allergy: Nausea and vomiting are not a typical sign of allergy. Green tea contains caffeine which relaxes the junction between the esophogus and stomach and can increase or cause acid reflux. Green tea also contains theobromide and theophyliine which can cause nausea and vomiting. Theophylline in particular can be metabolized slowly by some people which would increase this toxicity risk.
